How to Make Lotion With Fresh Papayas

Instructions

Set one fresh papaya on a cutting board. Slice the papaya in half lengthwise, exposing the fruit from the center. Remove the seeds of the papaya with a spoon and discard. Use the knife to carve the fruit into chunks, leaving the rind behind

Drop the chunks of fresh papaya into a blender or food processor. Pulse the blender so that the fruit is pureed and goes from solid to liquid. Measure 1 tablespoon of water into the blender to help the papaya liquify. Add a second tablespoon if the papaya is still too thick to puree.

Add 1 tablespoon of pure honey into the blender and whip up the contents. You will end up with a papaya and honey paste that has a thick texture. This mixture alone can serve as a facial peel or exfoliant.
Convert the paste into lotion form by adding the paste to natural, unscented lotion. Pour the unscented lotion into a 13.5 oz. plastic container or bottle.
Add the papaya and honey paste to the lotion. Close the lid of the container and shake the bottle vigorously to mix the ingredients well. Pour out the papaya lotion to check its consistency. If the lotion is too thick, add more water directly into the container and shake it again.
Add a few drops of natural oils to lend fragrance to your creation. Papaya has no scent.
